Anyone who has participated in frontline service in the military or emergency services will have come into contact with the debilitating condition known as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD.
Whiskey’s Wish was founded in November 2014 with the mission of providing service-trained dogs and service dog training to military veterans, first responders and correctional service officers who suffer from PTSD and service-related injuries.
These highly-trained service dogs provide years of comfort, mobility and social support to sufferers of PTSD, people who dedicated their lives to helping and serving us civilians, often times in desperate and stressful life-threatening situations.
Whiskey’s Wish is named after Whiskey, an assistance dog who died of cancer while providing support to his handler, Scott, a combat service veteran injured while on patrol in Afghanistan. (Scott is pictured here with Whiskey)
